Pembroke Symphony Orchestra
The Pembroke Symphony Orchestra (PSO) is an amateur community orchestra. With a core membership of 37 musicians, the orchestra performs three public concerts of classical music each season. The first concert this season was excellent, according to all accounts. The second, with a guest pianist (Yen-Yen Gee from Ottawa) and the New Orleans Express, promises to be spectacular!
Under the capable musical direction of Angus Armstrong the orchestra provides member musicians with the opportunity to perform in an orchestral setting, and provides the listening public with classical and modern music.
Members also enjoy the opportunity of practicing and performing with the seasoned professionals and soloists the group sometimes hires to round out our roster. We will begin planning our 2010-2011 season within the next few months, even as this season is underway. To make program suggestions, please contact Kirsten Waymann.
The PSO needs volunteers to help us with such things as: concert production, advertising, and fund-raising. If you would like to help us please contact Gail Marion.

Why not plan to attend the PSO Black Tie Valentine's Gala on February 13, 2010?
