Pembroke Symphony Orchestra
The Pembroke Symphony Orchestra (PSO) is an amateur community orchestra. With a core membership of 37 musicians, the orchestra performs three public concerts of classical music each season, usually at Festival Hall in Pembroke. The program schedule for 2011-2012 is:
- October 23, 2011, Festival Hall
- February 5, 2012, Festival Hall
- April 15, 2012, Festival Hall, Pembroke
Under the capable musical direction of Angus Armstrong the orchestra provides member musicians with the opportunity to perform in an orchestral setting, and provides the listening public with classical and modern music.
Members also enjoy the opportunity of practicing and performing with the seasoned professionals and soloists the group sometimes hires to round out our roster. To make program suggestions, please contact Kirsten Waymann.
The PSO needs volunteers to help us with such things as: concert production, advertising, and fund-raising. If you would like to help us please contact Gail Marion.
